I wonder if in a month we'll all be talking about how stupid this Pokemon Go phase was, there literally doesn't appear to be anything about the game that would give it any staying power.

You underestimate the power of operant conditioning.

Possibly. Well as long as social media won't still be flooded by pictures of Pokemon in real places by that point I'll be fine, that shame's getting old real fast.

Business Insider: Nintendo's stock rose 33% since Friday. It's highest since 1983. - NeoGAF

QuotePokémon Go is taking over the world.  This is good for Nintendo. And in early trading in Tokyo on Monday, shares of Nintendo went absolutely parabolic, rising as much as 23%. Shares of Nintendo rose about 10% on Friday.

QuoteAccording to Bloomberg's David Ingles in Hong Kong, this is the best one-day move for the stock since 1983.

In-fudgy-credible. EDIT: To be more clear, the 23% rise is the single biggest rise in stock value in a single day since 1983. In Japan.

Well they need to hurry up, because the app is shame and Nintendo should be ashamed of the state of this release.
