Sounds like Britain is bouncing back much faster than some expected.
The FTSE 250 is still down a lot though and the pound isn't recovering that well.

That being said, we haven't felt any effects yet

A lot of investors bet on Britain staying. It was also a baby move by Cameron to resign before issuing Article 50. Now he's left it to the next PM and created a gap of uncertainty. Like it was a "fudge you" to those who voted Leave.

I don't really interpret it that way. He didn't want to invoke article 50 himself because he wanted the next prime minister, who supported leave, to do it and start the negotiations themselves. However, he also wanted to stay for a long time in order to keep some stability in the country, if he'd left instantly the effects would have been much worse as we'd have no prime minister. So he had to balance it.

He's only staying on while the Conservatives elect a new leader and they've already started that process, so they're trying to do it quickly.
