"HDR"

It's a nice thing, but now everyone wants it in everything. Thanks Microsoft.

"High-dynamic-range" is a image tech that create dynamic range of luminosity that appeals more to our real eyes making the image looks more familiar to everyday life. Think like a Sunrise illumination... the HDR tries to give you that level of reality to image.

I don't know how Android's phones works but iPhones save two images: original and applied HDR... in most pictures of day light it feel better (more real) with HDR than the original.

HDR is high dynamic range. Basically better colors.

Yeah they didn't invent HDR, but they made it a general consumer word. Ie the gaf thread asking if psvr supports it.

It is about better dynamic illumination that translate to better colors :D

I can't say about PSVR but if PS4k support UHD (4k) Blu-ray then it needs to have to be 100% with standard.

PSVR doesn't.

PS Neo does, I would assume.

Guys I really sorry about the description about HDR... I used the Photo HDR and not TV HDR and they are way different.

TV HDR: Expanding the TV's contrast ratio and color palette to offer a more realistic, natural image than what's possible with today's HDTVs.

Photo HDR: Combining multiple images with different exposures to create a single image that mimics a greater dynamic range.

Ludicrous Speed

It's already a buzzword in the video community. It's plastered in the front of every 4k movie nowadays.

Yeap... 4k Blu-ray had it at cover too.
