it's another shooter from a non-top teir developer.  it will fail and that's reason enough to avoid it.

doom as a mp game,... yes.
doom as a sp campain,... i felt the same as wolfenstinen.  could be okay.  will buy on sale.

mp games are only fun with multiple players.  hype is honestly massively important to the genre.  i'd rather play an average game with a large community than a great game with the long matchmaking and lag issues that comes with a low population density.   better yet,.. i'd rather play the mp of a game like uncharted where i was completely sold on the sp and therefore the mp is more like a bonus.
