It's not just that. All of his arguments were opinion-based conjectures and he would never specify his points despite me hounding him about it.

I just skipped to the last page and read like, two or three of his comments.

Well, here's a concise summary of his arguments. He thinks Uncharted 4 bombed because Sony has not offered any PR and it didn't sell as well as the AAA multiplat games in the UK.

He does know we have number for the uk right?

Its looking to be 1 million first week world wide.

He does and he still thinks UC4 bombed. It was this particular post I had issues with, specifically this snippet:

QuoteI can already name five better performing games this gen: GTAV, Battlefront, Watch_Dogs, Arkham Knight, FIFA, CoD AW, CoD BO3, Destiny, The Division, Fallout 4. And those are just PS4 sales.

And don't ask me, ask Sony why they haven't released any PR and why they overshipped to Amazon. I would say wait for US sales, but I know people say it's a success even if it just sells 1m.

He was wrong on at least 5 out of 9 of those multiplats he mentioned (Battlefront, Watch Dogs, Destiny, Division, and Fallout 4). The notion that Sony overshipped to Amazon is unfounded because it's ranking high and you don't want supply to run out with that kind of momentum.

How much do you think it's going to sell in the us? I thought we had 400k with UK, Spain and Japan.

1.2m US May NPD.

Even at worst 900k is a give for US already.

That's the entire Europe almost missing, the US, South America, rest of the world. Considering the insane Spain opening I think and the big increase in the UK over uc3 I think 2m is a safe bet. A bit less than 1m from Europe, a bit less than 1m from us and then Japan and the rest put it nicely over 2m

...the game is currently the fourth best selling game item and the best selling game on Amazon US for the year so far. It was the 5th best selling game item on Amazon US in April (the month before its release) and currently the best in May. It spent weeks in the top spot over PSN cards, which is no easy feat considering how those are always the top sellers and will continue to grow as more PS4's sell. The only games this generation that managed to do what Uncharted 4 has done on Amazon US, or at least close, have gone on to be big sellers. Just based on that alone leaves zero reason to suspect that the game somehow "flopped". Though I do look forward to the mental gymnastics idiots like that will try and pull for what constitutes a "flop". Somehow, selling even just 2 million in a short time will be flop status to them. Meanwhile, Halo 5 is fine.

Yeah it's absolutely crazy that world wide Uncharted 4 has a chance to double Halo 5's numbers.

Not even fanboys were predicting that before the Xbox One reveal.

QuoteWonder how Uncharted 4's legs will be. Due to heavy marketing + being the fourth game in an already well-known, critically acclaimed series, I doubt we'll see legs as good as The Last of Us.

Did you ever asked him what did he things about Halo 5 sales/legs???

I'm curious.

Mmm_fish_tacos

What does that even mean. Hes trying to take a positive and use it as a negative.

He acknowledges the fact that the series has been declining. When people pointed out that UC4 had better first week sales in the UK by 42K, he doesn't consider it as an achievement even though Halo 5's sales are still good in spite of the series declining.
