2001 Halo: Combat Evolved
2004 Halo 2
2007 Halo 3
2009 Halo Wars / Halo 3: ODST
2010 Halo: Reach
2011 Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
2012 Halo 4
2013 Halo: Spartan Assault
2014 Halo: The Master Chief Collection
2015 Halo: Spartan Strike / Halo 5: Guardians
Ah, I forgot Reach, as well.

I wonder if Halo 6 will do better than Halo 5 or if it'll continue the downward trend.

It was the last Halo I liked... at least firefight was pretty good.

Quote from: Aura7541 on May 18, 2016, 09:47 PMEven then, it still doesn't add up. In fact, Microsoft didn't start releasing a Halo every year until the XB1.

Halo 3 - September 25, 2007
Halo Wars - March 3, 2009
Halo 3: ODST - September 22, 2009
Halo Reach - September 14, 2010
Halo Anniversary - November 15, 2011
Halo 4 - November 6, 2012
Halo: MCC - November 11, 2014
Halo 5 - October 27, 2015
Halo Wars 2 - Fall 2016
Fixed.

Also Halo Wars was originally planned for 2008 but delayed it seems:

No Halo Wars In 2008 | Shacknews

So you just have them deliberately missing a year in 2013 (though even that got a small Halo game on mobile or something), probably because of the generational jump. MS has been milking Halo like crazy since 2007. God they are such a horrible first party publisher.

Yeah, I didn't realize that Microsoft milked the Halo series to this degree. No wonder why Bungie wanted out.

Uncharted 4 still #1 on amazon!!

Overwatch doing good too.  I'm starting to feel the hype.  Could this be a big success?  It's even charting very well on amazon Japan and I've seen a few TV adverts which is a good sign.

I take it Sony is waiting for full May sales to do U4 sales PR?

the-pi-guy

Yeah, I'm waiting for Uncharted 4 sales news.

What I'm guessing will happen is that 343 will double down, take in the feedback, and make a better game but the sales will be just as low as Halo 5, if not lower. Of course, I say low as in 'low for Halo'. That's typically what happens when the previous game disappoints. The next game, even if it's better, suffers the consequences. It also very much depends on Microsoft. If they're not willing to allow Halo 6 the time it needs, they're most likely looking at another disappointment. If they push a holiday deadline and don't budge then they're basically proving that they don't actually give a shame about the franchise and are only interested in boosting holiday sales with a name. This also assumes that 343 is even capable of making a game on the level of the original Halos. Thus far, they're not inspiring much confidence and at this point I think believing that they're somehow an awesome, GOTY-producing studio is little more than delusion.

Wow! Amazing numbers for Spain.

So uncharted did 400k first week in only Spain, UK and Japan.

DerNebel

Yeah, I'd really appreciate some UC4 PR from Sony at this point.

A rather interesting adventure on the Amazon thread in Chartz...

Usually on Tuesday...

BTW next week is the Sony delayed forecast meeting... maybe some news come from there.

What a fudgy tool. Tell me someone made the point that sales doesn't mean it's underperformed. Amazon is making bank on those psn cards... Which u4 have been pushing. Selling more u4 = more psn card sales = more money
