Infamous: Lightning Edition with Spiderman demo?

A spiderman game would suck big time.

Batman worked, brawler, level up, new gadget unlocks, new skills unlock

Spiderman has webs and agility. His appeal is his wit and sarcasm during fights as a character... Can't really capture that in a game

To express my batman = brawler part more, it was fun breaking arms and elbowing heads as batman. Spiderman doesn't do this, he just dodges and incapacitates guys with his Web.

that feels disingenuous to me.  the spiderman lore is a bit iced up with the recent movies but in the older lore spiderman gets many of hit abilities from the fact he is a scientist and invents his equipment.  overall i think they could reskin infamous as spiderman and still do a good job.

Traversal Gameplay
Web crawling -  fits in very well with what the infamous world has already done with crawling over any building.
Web slinging - is a different kind of traversal but also fits in well with what infamous has already done in enabling quick traversal mechanics.


Brawling Gameplay
super strength - lifting and throwing objects has always been a big part of spiderman's fighting style
web sling - remember this can be an unlockable upgrade.  in the older lore his webs are an invention not a mutation until after the "six arm saga" where he turned into an actual spider.  he develops different variants of web cartiges too:
  a. a thick blast for blinding people
  b. large web for catching structures like collapsing roofs.
  c. impact webbing

and one thing they need to add imo is...

Stealth Gameplay
Peter parker is a freelance photographer and often scopes out is enemies in the guise of a reporter.  this would be an awesome way to incorporate photomode btw.
spider sense - spidey can sense potentially dangerous characters
night vision - ability to see in the dark
spider tracers - one of his inventions use to track people.
spider bots - surveillance focused


spiderman also has a great cast of allies and foes to choose from.  the key, imo, to a great spider man game is nailing the freestlye feel of spiders combat meaning a very interactive environment filled with things that can be used as weapons in creative ways and a intelligent inclusion of stealth gameplay.  with today's technology the idea of having a very interactive environment is finally achievable in a way it couldn't be done on the ps2. 

all i'm saying is there is potential.
