The bump on the controller is actually part of the system. The cord only connects to the very end of it.

How do we know Nintendo didn't make a specific cable for this prototype?  Box is very similar, very elaborate to go and research the Wii U's dev kit for this fake.  We also don't know how the coaxial cable looks like in this case.  It's possible it has a thick end and is plugged in.

They could have made a specific cable, but there's zero reason to stylize a dev kit only cable. Look at 3DS dev kit cables and the debugger.



They're industrialized with bulky and standardized designs. Same goes with other dev kits. This is especially true with prototype hardware where things change constantly.

To me the plug doesn't look similar to the wii u's bump, nor do I think it's a bump. I bet the artist was trying to make it look like a cable connecting into the devices card slot.

So I went to double check if my Twilight Princess HD was working (Guy at EB scared me).  Then I was like "I might as well go put some time into Wind Waker".  Then I had to play a wind song and I couldn't remember any of them.  I spent maybe 15 minutes trying to find a song list.  Nothing.  So I rage quit.

I needed to blow wind in the direction of the forest temple.  Guess what song I couldn't play to blow wind into the forest temple?  So until I go on the Internet to get a song list I'm stuck.
