That graph doesn't look good for XBO.

Do we know how much it was up YOY for all of 2015?

I don't know, but it was eventually up YOY by around May and never looked back.

Also, Microsoft's track record with 3rd party deals this gen has not been so good. The only time they really cashed in was with AC: Unity, but that is 1.5 years ago...

The sales are actually pretty good, the PS4 just happens to have been in beast mode since day one.

Disaster is a strong word.

It's also a word that has been used at MS.

All depends on your frame of reference.

Compared to the PS4, it's not so good.

Compared to the original Xbox, things are pretty decent.  Compared to the Wii U, things are incredible.

Yup, people keep saying it's doing well against the 360 and completely ignore the situations. 360 was going against the best that was Ps2 when it first launched. Xb1 everyone was sick of 7th gen. 360 had no games till late 2006... Xb1 had a lot. Sure, they were crossed gen but they were there. Then 360 didn't really catch on till 2006 due to PS3 launching and Sony screwing it up. So if you wanted hd next gen it was 600 dollar ps3 or the alternative... The 360. This gen Sony has everything correct. Then later kinect. There will be no kinect effect for xb1.

It won't have the legs or nearly as much of the market percent....

Also, the demographics of the Xbox userbase have greatly shifted. The 360 userbase, especially early on, had a much wider variety of tastes because Microsoft was able to bring titles such as Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Tales of Versperia, Bioshock, and Mass Effect to the system. The XB1 userbase, on the other hand, is very homogeneous. This is why we see such a large disparity in sales distributions in multiplat Japanese titles or WRPGs (e.g. The Witcher III).

The JRPG scene, especially, is non-existent on the XB1. I challenge you to name 5 exclusive JRPGs currently out on the XB1, let alone any JRPG. In comparison, the 360 received Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata (1 year timed-exclusive), Infinite Undiscovery, and Tales of Versperia within the same period.

And compared to what MS was hoping to achieve with the X1 it's doing horrible. I don't care what anyone says but the Xbox division has been super obvious about trying to right the ship that they took off course with the launch of the X1. Constant flip flopping around their messaging, complete restructuring of their approach to the X1, underperforming first party games left and right, lost market lead in the US and UK, almost a complete demolition of their marketshare in continental Europe and Japan, all of these signal that something has gone mighty wrong with the X1 for MS and I highly doubt that they are actually satisfied with the systems performance.

I still remember how prior to the announcement of the 8th gen MS fanboys would say how the real battlefield of this generation would be Europe since the US was firmly in MS' hands, what a ridiculous statement in hindsight.

Hindsight?  I'm fairly certain that I was banned with calling those people Franz Ferdinand when they'd say it and would cite all the 360s strengths were no longer present in the xb1. I know for sure I told them market share would be at best 50/50 in Us and UK
