Maybe I'm just ignorant to this, but is anyone else surprised that the Western version is the one that gets the more brutal gameplay? I would have thought in today's "boo hoo, that offends me" Western climate that this would have not been the case.

That climate is only in regards to sexualization n shame, the US doesn't give a dang about violence. I do am a little worried as a german though. Hope we get the game with dismemberment.

USA = no naughtiness, lots of violence.

You guys, I live in the US. I know all this. I'm saying I find it surprising that a Japanese developer is going an extra length to add additional violence to the Western version of their game. I figured that not only would they be gun shy about offending people overseas but that they wouldn't keep their version toned down.

You guys, I live in the US. I know all this. I'm saying I find it surprising that a Japanese developer is going an extra length to add additional violence to the Western version of their game. I figured that not only would they be gun shy about offending people overseas but that they wouldn't keep their version toned down.

I'm assuming they're putting more bewbs in the Japanese version.  Or maybe a bewb mini game.  Where you keep stroking the track pad.

perhaps.  but because #3 the riot won't last much longer than the time it takes to shoot them.

i'm not saying i condone this btw.  i'm just saying this is how it is in america right now.
