And yeah, now that I think about it there doesn't really seem to be a big multiplat currently on the horizon that has a good shot at winning many Gotys.

Persona 5 might win some Best JRPG awards, though most of them will go to FFXV because... Final Fantasy

Are there Best JRPG awards? Anyway, if there are then I actually doubt that FFXV would necessarily take too many of those away from Persona 5, a site or publication that's dedicated enough to make a category specifically for JRPGs is likely going to appreciate P5 more and find more flaws in FFXV I believe.

General RPG awards will likely go to FFXV though, I agree with that, or Dark Souls 3. Then again, there's also a larger chance for FFXV to disappoint in general I think.

Yeah, I double checked and most sites just do general RPG awards.

homefront? seriously?

impressions on that game (from what i read) are shame so far, and even the gameplay the devs have shown seems rather meh.

ohh yeah totally forgot about zelda, but what we seen so far wasnt impressive at all. in fact, it was pretty average. people just lost their shame because it was zelda in an open world setting. but, it was really old footage, we gotta see what it turns out to be.

If Horizon ends up being as good as it looks, I think it could take Game of the Year over Uncharted 4. Assuming that Uncharted 4 is as good as the ones before it. I think the combination of Horizon being a new IP, being made by a studio known for sticking to a very different genre previously, and its rather unique setting will give it the nod over the fourth game in a franchise that sees the studio staying in its current comfort zone.

I do have my eye on Titanfall 2. Simply because I think Respawn could knock it out of the park if they take the lessons learned from the first game and actually try to deliver on the original vision they tried to impress upon us. That is, if Titanfall 2 really is releasing this year.
