I'm completely clueless when it comes to that stuff, how does that GPU compare to the current PS4 GPU? And didn't the PS4 have GDDR5? I thought DDR5 didn't exist, cause remember one of those NX leaks in the last few days said that system would have 8GB of DDR5 and he was called out for that.

Twice as good as current PS4.

DDR5 doesn't exist, but in this case since it's in reference to the GPU it's just assumed to be GDDR5.

Hm, that seems like a pretty significant improvement,,,what are the chances of this being for the NX?

Also I just watched The Knows video on this topic (I know that their track record hasn't been flawless with the whole Silent Hills thing) and boy do I hope they are wrong, supposedly Sony is already working on games that are optimized for the PS4.5. Don't do that shame Sony, the original PS4 has to stay the base model that games are optimized for at the moment imo.

The know has a good track record imo. They were right about dark souls and rise of the tomb raider.

I really doubt 4.5 will need games modified for it in a significant way. That would screw over devs too.

I guess at this point there's nothing to do but wait and see how this turns out. Really hope Sony are not taking any chances and try to make games optimized for the 4.5 and then scaled back for the normal PS4. I don't want games running like shame on my normal PS4 (cause unless there's an amazing upgrade deal I don't see myself jumping on this early on) because they are only made with the PS4.5 in mind and I'm pretty sure that something like that would create a big backlash in general.

IMO from a business perspective it's way too soon for PS4.5 that acts like a new generation. It's still selling more yoy and this soon could cause backlash.

For that reason I'm really thinking the new device will either be just a standard remodel with 4k output or a super upgrade that doesn't compete with the current system.

Basically GDDR5 is often referred to as DDR5.
It's kinda like if we had this word that pretty much meant unicorns, but also could mean horses.

He did correctly predict that TLG would be re-revealed last E3, but of course 1/1 is an extremely small sample size. CosmicQueso's inputs and thoughts have also coincided with Zoetis's teases.
