Actually, testimony is evidence. And it's the most solid thing we have being that Sony knows more than all of us. It sure beats pure speculation. And testimony works even better when something backs it up. Kinda like How its already gold sooner than they even needed to be before it got delayed to may. How about the fact that they already delayed it once under the premise that it wasn't ready so we know they have no problem with doing that? How about the fact that two weeks is absolutely nothing. Anything worth being concerned about will need more than two weeks.

Right. It certainly did. In November. For the holiday rush. We're talking about a May release. That's a dead time of the year. Do you think that won't impact it?

A recap of the last major Naughty Dog game that sold during a dead time of the year:

"Within seven days of its release, The Last of Us sold over 1.3 million units, becoming the biggest video game launch of 2013 at the time.[86] Three weeks after its release, the game sold over 3.4 million units"

So, I say no.

When the testimony is coming from a source with a definite interest to tell a white lie to cover the blow of yet another delay of its second most commercially successful current franchise, it becomes less helpful. It's still not evidence. It's a claim that you either believe or don't believe. Because saying that you once again weren't ready for the third time is worse than claiming an issue with production. It's easier for your consumers to swallow and not see you as inept when you claim "YOU GUYS ARE JUST SO EXCITED FOR OUR NEXT GAME THAT WE SIMPLY COULDN'T KEEP UP!".

On a console with an install base of 80 million. In June. Around E3. When sales pick up again.

R&C is now a second rate game for Sony. They've given it the crud game treatment for its last what, three games? If it were between Uncharted smothering R&C (a game they knew about before setting Uncharted date) and delaying uncharted  then I'd go with uncharted launching when it's ready 10/10 times.

June is not a dead month. April and May are dead months. June sells considerably more.

They've been treating this new R&C much better. Especially considering they have money tied up in the movie releasing the same month. Which is probably why they didn't delay that game instead. Uncharted 4 will still sell no matter what. Moving R&C out of the month the movie releases to feed off sales might hurt it.

Just so we're clear, I don't actually care what the reason is. It's not like I'm pissed about it or anything. I just like to debate sometimes.

I give a fudge. Because I need to show the world that I am always right. Just like I was right when I guaranteed that PSVR would be 200$-249$.

Colin didn't believe Sonys reasoning for the delay and thought ND needed more time and Sony covered up for them.

Also did you edit my post?
