Yeah I guess they were telling the truth about game being ready.

Max King of the Wild

Pretty obvious they didn't need the last delay for development. Probably didn't need a month delay for last delay either

So the delay was most about production and shipment issues than development time.

Aura7541

Considering that the previous release date was April 24, the delay is likely for shipping more copies.

Even with the previous date this seems pretty early for going gold.

52 days early seems crazy.

DerNebel

I told you guys, the printing excuse was the truth :p

The game will ship 5mil+ first week.

Xevross

Holy balls that's an early gold! How many do they expect to ship?

Also, how big will the day one patch be?

ethomaz

The GOLD copy.

And GAF being GAF...

I just think they weren't 100% on whether they could hit the new deadline and instead of delaying at literally the last moment, they gave themselves a two week cushion just in case. If it wasn't needed, great. If it was, well at least they didn't wait until less than a month before release to disappoint.

maybe

i just dont understand how incompetent sony can be if they cant print even CD's in 38 days before release, and had to delay it for 2 extra weeks. its still baffling to me.

anyways, awesome news that it is gold. now get TLoU2 out in a timely manner ND!

also, that line where bruce stanley thinks UC4 is the most visually stunning game ever created is exciting. cant wait to see how it looks on my screen! i wonder if they will manage to beat The Order 1886. because from what i seen, The Order 1886 looks slightly better. but i been on a media black out for months, so i havent seen much or anything of the latest footage.

Print, package, ship...

Seriously, this "Just in case they needed more time" makes no dang sense

I'm confused. Do you think they actually needed that much extra time to make copies of the game or is that what you think makes no sense?
