I don't believe it is, but if this thing turns out to be real, then we can probably start looking forward to Nintendo games on other systems in the not-so-far-away future, cause this shame is not gonna sell.

lol @DerNebel,.. but i agree.

that seems like an expensive screen to create that will have my hands cover up a good portion of it.  soo pointless.   and the complete lack of buttons makes it more smartphone like than console like which is exactly the thing i hate.   i despise the lack of positive feedback when clicking a virtual button on my iphone and it is hard to hit the right one when you but several button next to each other.

on the flip side,.. if the analogs have feedback in them i like that.  that is a bit like the vibrating triggers on xbox but still a good idea in general.   maybe not all that innovative but i like the idea of having to fight the analog a bit in some gameplay scenarios.

Fake.

The cord looks way too large. No good modern ports are that big.

Also the screen glare is wrong. Based off the shadow of the paper and the device, the light is to the right and slightly down. However the screen glare shows a light just ever so slightly to the right and a bit up. Just looking at shadows in general, I'm pretty sure the device and cord are renders photoshopped onto the original image.

The screen glare could actually be part of the displayed image. Maybe this is real...

Thought the rocks looked like unreal!

I'm leaning more towards this being the handheld.  I still think this is real regardless.

Yeah if real it's the handheld.

Basically confirms it's fake.

Not only does it perfectly line up with the frame from the demo video, but it's an offcentered crop. Offcentered crops look horrible in motion and would never be used like that.

why are people picking on the cord so much,... if this is real it is from a dev kit not a final product.

Dev kit cords don't look like that either. Would expect the cord itself to be much thicker and the end part to be more standard rubber.

Or if real, it would be like the Wii U gamepad.  You could have it, where you can like zoom around the screen and stuff.

But yeah, I don't think there's any way it's real.

The image is from a mobile tech demo so that rules out a gamepad type thing.

Guy at VGC claiming to dev says its fake because there has never been a connector in any dev unit that's connecting the device in the photo.  Except the Wii U's dev unit has a similar connector:

And here is the dev kit of Wii U

 See anything similar yet ?

The plot thickens.

Fake made out of Wii U dev unit, or real?

The bump on the controller is actually part of the system. The cord only connects to the very end of it.

Not similar to the leaked image.
