We already have final specs.

No idea.  Probably something to do with developers, but I don't know what "long awaited update" there is for developers.  @Legend, anything you're waiting for?  

The only things I don't know are release date and price. Everything else has already been taken care of a long time ago.



At least to me, this seems really close to market. Tomorrow will be all the technical/dev things, while Wednesday will be the press release and opening of preorders. Launch before E3.

I'm sure there will be. I juse don't know of any right now. Honestly I haven't looked.

Nope, we still have nothing.  
The higher ups for the most part have been quiet about it, even though some people are teasing it.  (Mostly the Battlezone devs, the Sony blog page)

So Amazon changed the placeholder date from the end of June to the end of December. Which probably means it's not going to be a surprise Summer release.

While other companies such as HTC, with their Vive VR headset, and Facebook, with their Oculus Rift, have already made many details available, it's Sony which has seemingly held out the longest.  According to reports, Sony, who likely will have an edge in the virtual reality space, since the Playstation 4 is owned by millions of gamers already, will likely price their VR headset at between $400 and $500. While this may seem like a pricey addition to gamers, it's actual quite affordable when one considers the fact that the Oculus Rift will cost $599 and the HTC Vive $799.  Additionally, these other VR headsets require a powerful computer packed with graphics capabilities in order to function adequately.
