After a while I'm getting some bad hang ups with illustrator. I just had to use task manager to shut it down because the UI wouldn't work. but I could still draw and use quick keys, but nothing else. I hope I didn't  lose my progress. I've spent a lot of time on this drawing.

Well it saved my work but lost my reference image... The reference image was the very first thing I did. So odd...

I'm getting to much into this.  I've spent the last 3 days doing nothing but trying to learn this program. I should have worked on my resume today and finished some house papers.  I shut down my pc just to take a break. I didn't want to be tempted to keep going.

Would be cooler if you had the option to eject it like a disc drive.

Well my sister brought over her surface 3, I got to try Illustrator on it. While I don't think the basic surface is strong enough for me to run illustrator with out getting pissed off with it, It is very nice for drawing the artwork I've been doing. I think I might have to get one. Although I'd like to just use the power of my pc which would require a wacom. I read about a streaming program, If she hangs out awhile tomorrow I might download it and give that a try.

Well I downloaded the streaming program and the lag was too much. I could draw from on side of the screen to the other before it would show up. And it woldn't complete my strokes. It would start them late and finish them early. Not sure what to do now. I really don't want to spend 1200 on a surface, even if my wife wants one. It seems wacom is going to be the best bet, but they are so overpriced for what you get.

Have you tried just a simple cheap one? Neverdies' wasn't much at all.
