We also need to take into account that Tomb Raider was being sold for $40 in December, which definitely prevented sales from tanking.
I also think that shows xb1 version didn't cross a million alone too...

It's plus DLC and portable... Doubt it's climbing faster than we expected already Actually... That's only 32%... I think it's exactly where we thought it was

They included portable and others digital content.

We need to see the same metric for 2014 to see if it increased.

low NPD numbers only go to prove that digital sales are much higher than expected and that halo 5 is a massive success!

pretty much.

we know tomb raider sold AT LEAST 1 million on xbox one.  since NPD says only 170k of those sold at retails that the other 830k had to be digital a which is 83% of the market.  now that may seem shockingly high given other sources break down of retail vs digital revenues but i think we all know that xbox owners are at rich tech enthusiasts that are quick to adopt new technology while ps4 owners are all babies.  and that 83% is an absolute minimum,.. if tomb raider sold 3 million (and we have no evidence to prove it didn't) then xbox digital marketshare would be 94% and halo would therefore be a 20 million seller already.

Guys XCX beat TR in launch month sales. Think about that, a niche rpg only some wii u owners own vs. A marketed triple A exclusive.
That was on a much bigger install base..
Idk if that's bad for Laramie or great for cross.

The #2 selling title of the December 2015 NPD Report was Electronic Arts's "Star Wars: Battlefront." This is Electronic Arts's highest-selling title of December, and it's also the 4th-highest selling of 2015 behind Call of Duty, Madden NFL 16, and Fallout 4.

Battlefield 4 U.S. Physical Retail Sellthrough (last major holiday shooter release by Electronic Arts)

October 2013 NPD Report: 836K units
November 2013 NPD Report: 1.5 million units
December 2013 NPD Report: 1.36 million units

Star Wars: Battlefront U.S. Physical Retail Sellthrough

November 2015 NPD Report: 2.10 million units (including bundles)
December 2015 NPD Report: 2.58 million units (including bundles)

Fallout 4

Quote from: NDP_MulcairHere is the Top 10 chart for December:

Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Star Wars Battlefront 2015, Fallout 4, Madden NFL 16, and NBA 2K16 all sold above 1 million copies in December (excluding bundles).

The numbers start to taper off with Rainbow Six: Siege at 808K units, and the Top 10 ends with FIFA 16 at 629K.

Sales of the "Star Wars Battlefront" bundle were brisk, as were sales for the "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection" bundles and "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" bundles.

This month the "Star Wars Battlefront" bundle was the most popular PlayStation 4 bundle. Sales of the standalone software SKU "Star Wars Battlefront" were below 2 million, a testament to the power of bundles to bring Star Wars Battlefront sales up to 2.58 million.

On the Xbox side of things, the "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" bundle was also very popular.

Over 580k SW bundles sold AMAZING.

Quote from: NDP_MulcairGears of War: Ultimate Edition sold well above 800K when including bundle units.

It was the most popular Xbox One hardware SKU by far.

Quote from: NDP_MulcairSony Corp's "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection" also did very well.

Bundle sales were below that of Star Wars: Battlefront, but not significantly.

Remember, console sales nowadays are pretty much all bundles. So the good majority of the 1582K PlayStation 4 consoles sold were in some form of bundles.

This month, the Star Wars Battlefront and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection bundles were incredibly cheap at $299 from December 6th through December 19th, so those two were very popular.

Looks like Xbox One GoW bundle sold more than PS4 SW bundle.

Makes sense because Gears bundle was the unique $299 from MS side while Sony had Uncharted and SW bundles at $299.
