My week without ps+

due to a weird error where sony always forgets a portion of my credit card information lately the auto-renewal for ps+ failed allowing my ps+ subscription to lapse for the first time since it was first introduced.  let me say this: ps4 without ps+ sucks.

• a huge portion of my games library is not unavailable.  this is especially noticeable on vita where almost everything i "own" sony game me as part of ps+
• i've been playing fat princess adventures (a game i actually own and the reason i haven't been quick to resubscribe) and everytime i launch the game the connection to the leaderboard fails and reminds me i need to subscribe to ps+
• i can't play rocket league.
• the entire playstation store just got a hole lot more expensive.
• i feel like a dirty, poor gaming peasant

how do people live like this?

Last year I had to go a month without PS4.

I just ended up not playing any videogames. All the missing online features suck.

I first got PS+ last December, still don't like paying for it. Don't particularly care about the free games, cheaper prices are cool I guess, helped me get Driveclub for really cheap so that's nice. Still, if Sony made online multiplayer free again, I'd cancel PS+ and wouldn't look back for a second.

i got it back in the day just for the games.

people complain about the free games on ps4 but i like it better than late gen ps3.  i hate when they give out AAA games because that means they are just giving me games i already own.  the ps4 library of free games is worth double what i pay imo and i'll bet i get more than $50 in discounts via ps+ sales rate regardless.  the online mp is frankly the last of the features i use so i guess i just don't care either way about that point. 

i'll be resubscribing pretty soon here.  honestly at this point is mostly i'm a bit too lazy to complete the transaction.  ..but not too lazy to write about it.  xD

metro redux (have it on ps3 but i won't play it there)

honestly i should by anything because my backlog is huuge but i think i'm just going to resolve to only buying things on sale now.  sony puts things on sale often enough that i can wait a few month from release for most any game.  uncharted 4 will be my exception to that rule A) because it's uncharted and uncharted is awesome B) because i'll actually play it's mp which isn't something i typically do.

I see Infamous SS for 12 bucks, that's a pretty good deal, but I'm still waiting for a similar deal for Until Dawn, that's the one I wanna play.

lulz, oops.  infamous ss was fantastic.  at 12 bucks your getting ripped off if you don't buy it.   and i'll get until dawn when it hits a good sale as well,.. hopefully around next halloween.

I'm not complaining about the free games, I simply don't care about them nor would I miss them if I didn't get them, I haven't even downloaded any of them in December or January.

the majority of PS4 games they gave i didnt care about. the only ones i actually put time into are

-Don't Starve - LOVED this game
-Resogun - was okay, played it a couple of times. maybe put an hour or two into it. it was fun.
-Rocket League - fudgy love this, still playing it. best PS+ game ever
-Infamous First Light- great DLC/Game. i was going to get this either way, so PS+ saved me 15 bucks for it.
-MGS: Ground Zeros - was pretty fun, i liked it, sooner or later ill get MGS5. GZ was my first MG gear game. decent addition to PS+
-The Walking dead S2: Currently playing this. its good, im enjoying it, even though some parts are stupid.
-Driveclub- not my type of game, but i played it for a few hours. its good, but again, not my type of game.

and i also played LBP Karting on PS3, which was cool.

overall PS+ has been eh to me. if they offered better games each month i would be a lot happier. i like that they put mid-tier games there, as it means id play games i usually wouldnt bother with like Dont starve, Rocket League and TWD. but they need to start adding AAA games and stop with a lot of these indie games nobody cares about. games like Rocket League, huge YES.

what i really want on PS+ is tearaway... come on Sony, make it happen.
