Forza sells like crud in the U.S. and is HEAVILY overtracked on VGChartz. The only reason it actually sells decently is because bundles.

But to give you an immaterial example so you can compare with VGChartz, FORZA MOTORSPORT 2 sold through approximately 750,000 units according to the U.S. Games Industry Sales Report from The NPD Group. This number excludes bundles but as far as I'm aware there was not a FM2 bundle in the U.S. or any other packaged software SKU. Yet VGChartz has the game selling over 2,150,000 units in the US.

So where did all those extra units come from?

Quote from: Rorono on Dec 16, 2015, 12:40 AMDo you know if this is retail only? Or includes digital? GT PSP has been frequently very cheap on the store and many Vita owners would have bought it too
It is indeed retail only of course. But I'm just shocked that either the digital ratio would be that high, or that the game was really heavily bundled.

I'm sure it does all add up. Just it's the only game which doesn't follow the trend of having packaged unit sales of at least more than half of the total North American sell in mentioned on the Polyphony Digital website.

Fair enough. Google failed me. My fault on not finding that. I spent a solid 20 minutes trying to find something like this but I guess because I'm in the UK it only showed me UK bundle stuff and not US stuff.

Original point still stands that Forza sales would be insignificant without bundles. I'm not sure how big of a role the Marvel bundle played as I don't have that data but I know the standard SKU for FM2 didn't even break 3/4 of a million as noted above.

Think this is the bundle my cousin got.  And it was a little tricky finding it.
Yeah, I could have told you that.   The game is definitely insignificant.  It's not that significant including bundles, and I am fairly convinced that is probably where it gets most of its sales.
Vastly overestimated by Xbox fans.

You wouldn't happen to have Project Gotham numbers would you?  I think a comparison between the both would be an interesting look at how racers faired from when the Xbox launched vs now.

It's a number from the CESA white paper for 2014.

They usually take shipment number direct from the publisher.

There was only Project Gotham Racing 4 for 360.  I'm not sure if it was bundled.  Microsoft abandoned the IP in favour for Forza.  I was just curious if that was a wise move.

It's pretty much a given considering the PS4's dominance in Europe.

Cute Pikachu

Non all I need is an update on MM and UD and I'm set.
