What the fudge was that?

Looks like a bad Guardians of the Galaxy ripoff.
Star Trek died with JJ Abrams going to Star Wars!

Looks better than the last two at least. New director will probably be good for the series.

I went to the grocery store today and they were selling Star Wars mustard. Does Star Trek have mustard...? Didn't think so. Guess that settles that discussion. Lol

Are you saying you liked the first two and think this one looks bad, or did you dislike the first two but think this looks worse?

The problem is that the last two Star Trek movies didn't make any money.  They more or less broke even.  So I think this is Paramount's last ditch effort to make money.  I personally think they're wrong, cause you know, space battles.  But we'll see where this goes.

Well Star Trek is kind of niche. Maybe they should've just scaled the budget down a bit.

The budgets are comparably low.  They both cost around 150 million to make.  Pretty poultry now a days.

Well then they both made quite a bit of money, unless the marketing budget is another 200m or something, then only the second one made some money

"Calculating in all expenses,Deadline.com estimated that the film made a profit of $29.9 million"

That was for Into Darkness.
