Watched this Oprah video with Donald Trump from 30 years ago.

He was mostly talking about how he feels this country is getting ripped off, and that part of it I'm 100% certain that he is still quite the same.

The shocking thing though was just how he presented himself.
He seemed calm, thoughtful, was listening, and almost caring.
Whereas today, he just doesn't seem to care, he always seems to be yelling, often insults.
It just seemed like a totally different Trump.

If he acted like that today, I wouldn't think it would be so ridiculous for him to president.

QuoteA liberal Muslim homosexual ACLU lawyer professor and abortion doctor was teaching a class on Karl Marx, a known atheist.
"Before the class begins, you must get on your knees and worship Marx and accept that he was the most highly-evolved being the world has ever known, even greater than Jesus Christ!"
At this moment, a brave, patriotic, pro-life Navy SEAL champion who had served 1500 tours of duty and understood the necessity of war and fully supported all military decision made by the United States stood up and held up a rock.
 "How old is this rock?"
The arrogant professor smirked quite Jewishly and smugly replied "4.6 billion years, you stupid Christian"
"Wrong. It’s been 5,000 years since God created it. If it was 4.6 billion years old and evolution, as you say, is real… then it should be an animal now"
The professor was visibly shaken, and dropped his chalk and copy of Origin of the Species. He stormed out of the room crying those liberal crocodile tears. The same tears liberals cry for the "poor" (who today live in such luxury that most own refrigerators) when they jealously try to claw justly earned wealth from the deserving job creators. There is no doubt that at this point our professor, DeShawn Washington, wished he had pulled himself up by his bootstraps and become more than a sophist liberal professor. He wished so much that he had a gun to shoot himself from embarrassment, but he himself had petitioned against them!
The students applauded and all registered Republican that day and accepted Jesus as their lord and savior. An eagle named "Small Government" flew into the room and perched atop the American Flag and shed a tear on the chalk. The pledge of allegiance was read several times, and God himself showed up and enacted a flat tax rate across the country.
The professor lost his tenure and was fired the next day. He died of the gay plague AIDS and was tossed into the lake of fire for all eternity.

You do know we already ''ban" certain groups of people from coming to our country, it just not out right called a ban. But all the sudden some one suggest doing to the same to a group of people based on a religious beliefs and everyone looses their shame?

I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but I'm sick of people jumping on a bandwagon they know nothing about. If we let a group of people in our country that we know is going to let in terrorist, then fudge it I should be able to bring over my wife's parents with out an issue.

Sure, why not.

Everyone is losing their shame because Trump is a racist nationalist and he is winning (on one of the two sides). He is talking about excluding all muslims from the country. Earlier he said he wanted to mark them so all would know they were muslims. History repeats itself, they say, but I never thought it would be so obvious.

What are you talking about?
We certainly make restrictions for the quantity of people coming in, but we (as far as I know or can find) don't have any laws restricting a group of people coming into the country.

Yes, that's why I said its not called a ban. But you should look into how hard it is to bring a Filipinos into the country. The only way to do it is to marry. There are ways to bring family but it's a hard long drawn out process. Basically they make the visas so hard to get it might as well be a ban.

A little bit of insite,  it took 2 years for my wife's to get approved with 2 battleship rejections. Plus a year of work prior to the actual start of the paper work.

I would lover to bring my wife's parents over so they could help with the kids and see their Grand babies, but they would be nearly 4 years old by the time that happen, if we could even get it done.

Which were stupid statements on his part.

But I can agree with not flooding them into our country. There's already enough places in America you wouldn't want to go. We don't need to add even more. Just look at Frances no go zones for example.

There's a lot of Filipino immigrants, and it sounds like the yes/no is random for deciding who comes in.

It's a difficult subject.

I agree with most of the parallels, with the exception to the last one.

Yes, because at one time it was fairly easy. And we had a base in the Philippines.  Now it near impossible with out marring a U.S  citizens.

Quote from: Mmm_fish_tacos on Dec 09, 2015, 05:40 PMDude, how's the flooding over there?
Its been pretty terrible. Lots of towns have been completely cut off and thousands of homes have become uninhabitable now. I've seen some pretty crazy pictures of loads of houses and a football stadium completely flooded in Carlisle.

I got fairly lucky, Lancaster -which is only 20 miles north of me - got really badly affected, the University there is closed now for Christmas as a result.

It isn't over yet though, we've had a bit of break today but there's lots of rain forecast over the next few days

Ah, this is brilliant
Already over 270K signatures :O

That said, though, I'm not convinced by any of the other candidates' proposed foreign policies.
