My feelings about this boil down to the fact that absolutely everything is/has transitioned into ecosystems. Buy a steam game, play on steam. Hardware doesn't matter. Buy an iOS app, play on iOS. Hardware doesn't matter. Buy an Android game, play on Android. Hardware doesn't matter. Nintendo is highly rumored to be transitioning to this as well. Buy an NX game, play on any NX system. Even Sony themselves are doing this with cross buy. Practically all PSN games are buy once, play on every system that supports it.

Yet with these PS2 games, Sony is making an exception and forcing people to pay twice. It's backwards to where the industry is heading, but not a holdout from where the industry came from. I can't think of a single explanation that doesn't involve greed*/incompetence.

*greed is a weird word imo to use for corporations

Did you miss my rant on this?   :P

Quote from: the-Pi-guy on Dec 06, 2015, 08:48 PMFrame rate looks great.

Doesn't look bad, but doesn't look good either. Just pretty solid 30fps with lots of pacing issues.

I've got San Andreas on PS4 and it does look pretty bad. Was hoping for better.

Everything is so blurry >:(

Looks like an up rezed port with better frame rate over the ps2 version.  The ps3 version actually looked the best.

Waaay best.

Interesting that the game is 30fps.

I was really hoping Sony figured out an automatic way to decouple calculations from framerate on these older titles.

The Star Wars games are 60.  Maybe Rockstar was lazy?

Not according to the digital foundry comparison.

No, but the star Wars games would have originally been programmed framerate independent.

I think Star Fighter was, since they could only do so much.  I recall an interview with Star Fighter 2 and they mentioned they got the framerate up, but couldn't really lock it.
