Not a chance. What would I even stay up for? More Quantum Break gameplay? No thanks, not interested in that game. More on No Man's Sky? That game is starting to overstay its welcome with all the footage I've already seen. The off chance Sony decides to show up? Nah, even if they do it'll just be something small, they'll keep the real deal till saturday. Nintendo maybe showing Zelda? Now granted, that's something I'd want to see, but I'm not staying up till 5AM (they'd definitely end the show with something like that) for a video that I can just watch the next day.

Totally not worth it.

Last year was a lot better because Keighly broke away from Spike and the usual investors. The problem I had with last year was that it almost seemed more like a World Premiere Show instead of a Game Awards Show. Though it was still much better than the VGAs and that abomination called VGX that ended up being the last straw for Keighly.

The game awards are unrelated to the video game awards/vgx.

Geoff is setting these up to be much more professional, and more in line with televised awards for other mediums. Shouldn't have any cringe moments, although I personally always enjoyed them.

"Announcements" might not count as "World Premiers" though. Other likely possibilities:

• Paragon (Epic games) - New character's reveal is due on the 3rd / no gameplay shown to date
• SpyJinx (Chair / Bad Robot) - Geoff Keighley announced the game with JJ Abram's & Chair, more info "soon" but with Geoff's involvement, Game Awards seems likely.
