That is what happened lol

Gears SKU was the top seller.
All combined SKUs give the edge to PS4.

While most people choose to buy Xbox One Gears bundle in Xbox One side... in PS4 side they were more dispersed with UC bundle, Star Wars bundle, CoD bundle, etc.

Rorono

Ffs..repeating myself
All X1 bundles were discounted and sold as BF stock. For the PS4, only the NDC was.

If Gears had been the top sku in the way you're thinking, the PS4 would have lost by a country mile. Sales of the other PS4 skus would have been at their lowest point of the month due to stock shortages + no discount in a discount-oriented period.

The only thing you broke down with the SKUs was the prices.
Which all we can say from your break down is that:

A*300+B*350+C*400+D*430 = PS4 total
E*300+F*350+G*350+H*350+I*380+J*450 = XBO total

PS4 total can still be greater even if A<E.

The Gears bundle at Target was crazily offered.  It's going to be way way ahead of the other XB SKUs, which they have as only slightly ahead of the leading PS4 SKU.
Plus Amazon has the Star Wars PS4 bundle only slightly behind the Gears bundle.

They said it barely outsold ps4 at Target and Walmart. Despite that offer.
The SW bundle isn't only slightly behind, it's quite a bit. It's also below the holiday bundle.
There is simply no way the other PS4 skus would have made up for the theoretical loss against the Gears bundle

This would be possible : Gears > NDC but NDC + other ps4s > Gears. However, NDC + other ps4s > Gears + other X1s is impossible if Gears > NDC. The sum of other X1s has to be bigger than the other PS4 skus, nothing else would make any sense.

ethomaz

lol it makes sense

One SKU > Others and combined SKUs make the difference for this one SKU.

Just think Tomb Raider and Kinect SKUs barely sold any big number of Xbones... while even the lower PS4 SKUs did good.

Explain to me how this scenario is even remotely possible:
SW standard + SW LE (stock shortage) + COD LE (stock shortage), all 3 of them NOT discounted during BF > X1's Fallout, TR, Holiday, Lego, Kinect and Halo LE bundles, all of them discounted 50 dollars during BF.

I'm not looking at the chart right now.  I'm looking at the month of November.
Gears -11
Star Wars - 15
CoD - 24
UCDC - 27

Secondly, the thing doesn't include Amazon.

The Gears included a 60$ gift card.  That's freaking nuts.  That's going to be waaay ahead of the other bundles.
It doesn't make any sense whatsoever to think that the other bundles are going to be close behind.  I'd be freaking stunned if that was the case.

The other PS4 bundles were closer than that.  That's like a 110$ difference between that bundle and the next closest bundle.
Whereas the PS4 bundles were about 50$.

You're telling me though, that the 110$ difference was very tiny and everyone was about as likely to get the other Xbox bundles too?

Rorono

Gears only included a 60 card at Target
30 at Walmart
Nothing anywhere else

This scenario is pretty much what I expected this year... TR, Kinect, Lego and Halo sold little numbers... even Fallout bundle I expect to sell bad.

Gears did good because it have a crazy deal with $60 gift card.

Now the PS4 bundles was what people WANTED to buy... so they are close to each other... at least CoD, UC and SW.

What you are trying to say makes no sense to me based in the overall situation of bundles for PS4 and Xbox One.

Yeah, and the other bundles didn't have that.  But somehow, they are going to be right behind?
NO WAY.

It does include amazon.

They are going to be right behind it? Highly dependent on stock. It's black Friday. Stores are going to burn through their stock and even stores that don't have OMGWTFA sales are going to sell

All this bickering on a report that pays users to submit receipts on a mobile app not available on Windows phones and doesn't have a large sample size. Ugh...

250k is a pretty huge sample size for any statistics... even more for about 1m units sold... it is about 25% of all sales.

For a single day of the month that, while incredibly significant, probably doesn't change the outcome of November. Which is quite likely a win for PS4 based on everything we've seen.

Recommended Sample Size Calculator
Statistics works in such a way that gigantic sample sizes aren't needed.  You just have to get to a certain size and you can be 95% confident.
@Yes, why would they be so close?  Gears is one of the most popular Xbox games, it came with substantial gift cards, particularly on Black Friday, it's cheaper to get that bundle then buy another game than it is to buy the other game bundle.
Most people are smart enough to know that a gift card is a good deal.
