infoscout says xb1 won black friday. Wasn't expecting that.
I can imagine the following though.
Gears Xbox > PS4 b1>PS4 b2>Xbox b2>PS4 b3>etc.
For an overall
PS4>XBO
Plus if it only counts paper receipts, Amazon probably could push the PS4 to number 1 and that wouldn't be considered in the info.

Well its a reasonable sample size I think. Probably much smaller than amazon though. NPD is going to be very interesting! (TM)

Yeah, that may be possible but it was xb1 that was pushing more bundles... you'd expect the ps4 bundle to be top because it was the only one that was pushed.

Good point on amazon though, we shall have to see!

Speaking about Amazon, it's marketshare has slightly increased after the PS4/XBO launch.

They did just open up a retail store. Though I think it's books only. 5-6%? Still would prefer a confirmation from NPD overlords.

Amazon is more like 6-8% now.

Amazon has been growing in popularity and commanding a greater percentage of NPD marketshare over time. 5-6% was accurate back when the PS4 / Xbox One released, and I agree that 6-8% is more appropriate for its current position in late 2015. In the beginning of the 7th generation Amazon barely registered in the overall retailer list, so it has definitely come a long way the past few years.

The Walmart exclusive Battlefront Disney Infinity bundle did extremely well, according to Cornbread:

QuoteDon't forget about those Star Wars Disney Infinity bundles. They launched the week before Black Friday.  Gone, gone, gone, they flew, were they a WM exclusive?  I don't see them on the Amazon chart.
Honestly though, that was an equalizer in our store in compareison to the extra stock we received of XB1 bundles sold during BF.  Then you add in the Battlefront bundles in comparison to the FO4 bundles, and there is a clear winner...

XB1 was pushing more bundles, but the Gears bundle had a 60$ gift card at 300$ from Target.  That's huge.  That's like 3 games, Xbox One, 60$, for 300$.

QuoteThat's their console 'pick' not the console that won.

this man has a point. It does sound like they were just pointing out the best value option... they never said it was the top seller

"Once again, when consoles did sell retailers offered game+console bundle deals to lure consumers.
The top console bundle pick this year was the Xbox One 500gb with Gears of War, which Target discounted to $299 (down from $350) and threw in a $60 gift card."

If that was the case, I think they'd say "our top console bundle pick" instead "the top pick".  My assumption is that they are talking about the top consumer pick, ie top sale.

Yeah, you're probably right.

This month has been so odd, some things are pointing to a PS4 landslide victory, others are pointing to a close battle and some pointing to an xb1 victory. How exciting the 10th is going to be :D

Aura7541

Even if the PS4 lost Black Friday, BO3 and Battlefront bundles will make up for that deficit. Remember, there are three different Battlefront bundles. The limited edition sold out and according to Cornbread, the Walmart exclusive bundle sold out, too.

Nah, I'm confident the PS4 won.  That Xbox bundle is way better than any of the other bundles I've heard of.
Retailer wise, I can believe that specific bundle is ahead, but overall PS4 likely won when you tally up all the bundles.
I'm betting that's the case.  Adding in Amazon and other online retailers, it's quite certain the PS4 won.

As I said earlier when the source said PS4 won bb, it's not representative
