  • We have to remember that PS4 won BF last year on Amazon too so this isn't really a surprise :P

Lol, it didn't even do that really. It ran out of stock and the Xb1 ACU bundle passed it up

The ranking for November 2014 has Xb1 ACU at #2 and PS4 BF bundle at #11... we know what that gap led to

Let's not forget all the pre orders PS4 has built up too :o

Quote from: Xevross on Nov 29, 2015, 08:54 PMYeah, the gap between the NDC bundle and Gears bundle must have been massive, Gears was #4 for most of BF too. I wonder how much other retailers relate to this. If they're similar then we could be in for some PS4 domination come NPD
The only retailer where the XBO had an advantage during BF was Target. However, Target is not the largest. Gamestop is followed by Walmart. In addition, Target had less shoppers this BF vs last BF.

When it comes to NPD, we also need to take into account the BO3 and Battlefront bundle preorders.

XBO led all last November. The $399 -> $349 price cut began November 2.

Also, with the news, It seems NDC and H5 should be neck and neck in sales. And that's crazy to think about.

Hmmm.... with bundles NDC might not be too far behind, yeah. Sony have been really smart, Uncharted 4 is going to be huge.

Sony said PS4 won on Amazon on BF day though lol?!

WOW.

That number one hold must have been huge! Even by dropping to $349 it must have still stayed up there. Crazy huge crazy jump.

Uncharted NDC > Halo 5 for Nov NPD guaranteed now. Might even beat it LTD even.

Best selling remaster of all time? lol power of the bundle.

Not ahead in the chart though, only the leaks

Took me a while to find this:

Xbox One vs. PS4: Can Microsoft sustain its new momentum against Sony in the console market? - GeekWire

QuotePS4 is the cumulative leader in hardware sales and was #1 on the Amazon Video Games Bestseller list on Black Friday
That is the quote, I think that only means it was #1 on the hourly for a while because you can't look at just one day on amazon

Well this is only the update for BF, so this is way before it went up to 349, there's another day and a half of sales to be updated on the monthly before that. I'm not sure at what point these sales are counted to December on amazon but depending on when it is the bundle could climb to #1 for the month. If Saturday is the last day that counts to November then I doubt it but if it includes Cyber Monday there's a good chance

Well yeah, of course only with bundles!

Well don't you think it won the day if it was ahead in the hourlies?

We can't but Sony potentially could.

It was #1 in the hourlies for half the day then ran out of stock, I seem to remember. It might have won the day but there's no way to tell who topped a single day by looking at amazon charts.

For sure though, you can say PS4 is doing absolutely miles better than last November on amazon, comparing Nov 2014 to Nov 2015.

Actually, if you compare October 2014 to October 2015 on amazon PS4 looks clearly down YOY... we should have seen it coming!

Quote from: Mmm_fish_tacos on Nov 29, 2015, 08:52 PMdang son, that must mean spot one and 5 is a humongous gap between sale. I always thought the closer to number 1 the closer the sales numbers would be.
Here's the thing, 1 is the lowest you can go so while 2,3,4,5 can all by vying for a spot and you'll know from those 5 isn't as good as 4 but better than 6 and 4 isn't as good as three but better than 5 (and that's the key). number one can be far ahead and you'll never really have an idea because you don't have two points of comparison.

Yeah they could but there's no way to be sure. We do know that it got handily beat by the ACU bundle for the month but this year PS4 looks clearly in the lead.

If we just read into amazon sales and assume its a perfect representation of the whole market then NPD sales may be something like PS4 1.6m, Xb1 900k
