Wow. It dropped to about 37F here at the weekend and we were all complaining about how cold it was. Its gone back up to about 50 now though. Its rain rain rain all day long every day at the moment

23 F was the coldest day ever in my life and that was because I traveled to the south of the country (the news said it was the coldest day of the year).
Below 50 F to us Brasilians is considered super cold already.

BTW it is south hemisphere ending spring to start summer... the temperature will go up even more in December/January.

I think the coldest I've ever experienced is about 15F but it doesn't usually get close to that low in winter here.

I'm just hoping for some snow soon

Well the snow just arrived for the first time this winter this week and it really snowed a lot!

There are some positives to having snow: It gets a lot brighter than it would be if we had none (the day is really short in winter).
It's more "Christmas-y" too!
It's fun for the kids to ride sleighs and stuff in it

Negatives: Driving in it is a pain sometimes
