Help: Sony Xperia Z

Who has experience with these phones? Two years ago I bought an unlocked Sony Xperia Z. Friday, it fell out of my pocket on the screen (I was getting a new phone anyway). However, the screen stop responding to touch around the last digit of my screen unlock code.

Anyway, I ended up getting the Xperia Z1S. It was cheap refurbed. I was kinda bummed because I wanted to get a big upgrade, but settled on the phone because of price. It arrived today! (Gotta say after handling it for a little bit, it is a bigger upgrade than I was expecting. So much nicer Aesthetically.) Now, I would like to transfer all my contacts and pictures to the new phone. The refurb didn't come with manual but when I bought the old one I remember it saying it was easy upgrading. Anyone know how to transfer all the stuff?

Don't remember,  if you can't unlock the old phone you won't be able to use the app anyway.

Can you turn it on at least?  
I'm not sure how much you'd be able to get off it without being able to unlock it.  
But pictures and stuff you might be able to move onto a computer.

yeah it turns on. I synced it to a computer once. Thing is, I remember sony advertising being able to upgrade and transfer everything simply in the old manual.

Holy shame, I just turned the old phone on and it's buzzing non stop from notification updates.... I WANT TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE!
