I'm thinking about thinking about making my own micro PC "adaptor."

So currently my set up is that I have my work desk with my dev kit and PC, while 30 feet away is where my PS4, couch, and big TV are. A micro PC would be at both locations and pass input/output back and forth through dedicated ethernet lines. The end result would act like a steam machine in my entertainment cabinet, yet it'd be powered by either my dev kit or PC in the other room. No streaming so no significant delay.

Gonna take a somewhat of a break from Steam PC gaming - so I can finish up on Uncharted 1/2 (ya I know I'm playing it though I'm about to get the trilogy on PS4) and The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D :O

Still gonna play FFVII on Steam since I'm uploading vids for it.

Once I get a PS4 - I'll have a better view of what I'll be playing - gotta finish my currently playing games ;p

Next PC game I will play more than likely will be Batman Arkham City GOTY.

Trying to find a good deal on Laptops in Canada but it's literally impossible. I want a decent one so that I could also play some of the more recent game at mid-high settings.

Saw this one on the US Amazon site - Amazon.com : Dell Inspiron i7559-763BLK 15.6" Full-HD Gaming Laptop (Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX960M) with Windows 10 : Computers & Accessories

If I bought it, it would come out to about 1000$ Canadian but they don't even ship to Canada =/. Also it's only got a 256 GB SSD which is low on space but I guess you could install an HDD.

You have to wait for September when Best Buy gives out sales for school.  The other problem is that with the dollar so low, prices have sky rocketed.  I want to build a new desktop and the i7 I want is 500 dollars.  My i7 2600 was 270 on sale (I think 320 or 350 not on sale) at Canada Computers.  Kinda funny cause I remember when I went to get it, I was one of the few to pick it up, everyone else went in for the FX deal for only a bit cheaper.

It was a bit too "far out" for me. The twist at the end fell flat.


Really liked the game's feeling though.
