A lot of people misunderstand PEMDAS/BODMAS/BEDMAS/ETC.  

-I could not count the number of posts where PEMDAS people think that either multiplying comes before division.
-I also could not count the number of posts where people think all problems are solved left to right.  1+1+1+1+1+1*0=0
-I even saw a post about how BODMAS and PEMDAS came up with different answers, because of some junk.  So it's not just an American thing.  Europeans suck at math too.

Math is hard and the average human is stupid. Not hard to see why most people fail at math

Yeah, how bad most people are at maths blows my mind. Most people in this country get about a C/B at maths GCSE... which just seems so bad to me.

If you're talking to me then indices. That's just the way I got taught it about 5 years ago. I never think BIDMAS or whatever though, I just know naturally how calculations work. Like I said, basic maths easy stuff
