Any normal game: oh sucks the system is bogged down today, I'll just play tomorrow.

Any game after MCC: oh it stopped working for an hour, doooooooooooooom!

Ouch it's actually worse than that.

System ate up REQs that people attempted to redeem. They're gone forever.

BTB maps are made in forge :(

Looks like campaign is around 7 hours: How long is Halo 5: Guardians? - HLTB

Spoiler for Hidden:
You play as Locke for most of the game because Chief gets captured by Cortana, who has gone batshit crazy with power now that she found the Domain. It's a galaxy spanning information network that has also given her control of the Guardians and most of the Prometheans. Her goal becomes to rid AI of the rampancy problem, which she now has the power to do, and have them rule the galaxy with her. It's basically Mass Effect's story. AI decide that organics need to be kept under control. Only in this case, organics are given a choice. Live peacefully or die. She's crazy about Master Chief so she captures him and plans to hold him in stasis for the next 10,000 years. Eventually she'll wake him up and live happily ever after with him in her galaxy wide dystopia. As Locke, you're going after Chief to free him and his team. After you do, she starts chasing the Infinity and shutting down worlds all over the galaxy using the extremely powerful EMP-like ability of the guardians. You get away and end up on a world where the Arbiter, Palmer, and Halsey are waiting for you. Halsey repeats her earlier line in the game "Took you long enough" and the game suddenly ends. Weak cliffhanger with virtually nothing resolved.

thats how it is? thats really the campaign story? the marketing had nothing to do with that.

I'd rather use the median for this, which is just over 6h

That's only because it has a small sampling right now. In time the median and mean should be within a few minutes of each other.

Halo is the “Star Wars of video games” according to Microsoft - NeoGAF

QuoteNot sure how I feel about this statement: Since Star Wars is the Star Wars of Video Games, Battlefront, X-wing vs Tie, Squadron Series, Knight Series, huh what?
Quote"What's really so special about Halo, and people will feel it the moment they start playing the campaign, is just the richness of the universe and the story and it's very much like what Star Wars is to movies, Halo is to games. You have that special sauce–it's unlike anything else."

/ Not denying Halo's success, but it does not have the cultural significance to even Mario, let alone Star Wars itself. Maybe better compared to Battlestar Galactica, yeah I said it.Source

Halo 1-3: original trilogy
Halo 4-5: prequels

It all makes sense.

Humble as always Microsoft... how awful of me is it that I'm finding a degree of entertainment in the fact that MS' "greatest lineup in games history" seems to be crumbling down below their feet? Forza 6 can't make the top 10 in its launch NPD and while Halo 5 is undoubtedly still selling boatloads it doesn't seem to be moving as many consoles as I expected and appears to be somewhat "divisive" among the fans instead of being the "greatest hunt in games history".

While Halo 5 itself is a pretty great game in regards to all these social issues, yeah wtf is up with that.

It's kinda weird how Halo 5 hype is falling fast online.

At least on GAF and at least on the Halo reddit, the general tone towards the game has become way more negative than it was at launch. When the dust settles, I wonder how the game will be remembered. I could see it having a large player drop off like with 4.
