Quote from: Xevross on Oct 21, 2015, 09:52 PMWell I've read some positive impressions and I did enjoy Unity... even though I enjoyed BF about 10x more.

I'm hoping its good, I do love Assassin's Creed

Almost all of those I thought to myself: who the heck would thing such a stupid thing? I wouldn't say those are real myths
I only played 3 and 4, so...

I've heard all those myths except the one about developers liking bugs lol.

Whut? Why?

I actually haven't played 3 or 1 though ;D I love all the ones I played except Unity, which I like. If I had to rank them .... 4 > Brotherhood > 2 > Revelations > Unity

I own them all except Unity and have played bits and pieces, but as a kid I had a bad habit of never finishing games.

Wow, that's not good!

When I was a kid my parents didn't have enough money to buy me many games, so I played the heck out of the only ones I had and as I've grown up I've kept that philosophy. I've completed every game I've bought except LBP3 which bored me out of my mind.

I grew up with an older brother and he was much more into games than I was. Lots of times I'd just watch him play.

It was fun around 2010 when I started really getting into games myself. "Hey neverdies, apparently this game called Mass Effect 2 is great. We should get it!"

His response "Oh yeah I played it at launch. Feel free to boot up the 360 and play it." "what?, we already own it?! Sweet"

Looks like Gamespot is resorting to click bait journalism again. They ran an article about the Dualshockers interview with Yu Suzuki about Shenmue 3. At one point during the interview Nelva, the interviewer, notes that it was surprising that Sony ended up being the company to parade Shenmue 3 on stage and not Microsoft. He pointed to a lot of the social media activity from Xbox executives about the title. He then asks Suzuki if Microsoft had been in contact with him over the past year about making the game for their console. He responded by telling Nelva he'll let him use his imagination. What did Gamespot do? They run this article...

Shenmue 3 Creator Teases Xbox One Plans and Discusses Gameplay Ambitions - GameSpot

See what they did? They took Suzuki's ambiguous answer and turned it into an article about him teasing plans for an Xbox One version of the game. Now, ambiguous answers leave a lot of room for speculation. That much goes without saying. There has also never been any guarantee that the title would not eventually land on Xbox One or any other platforms. Unlike Street Fighter 5 where it has been made clear by both Sony and Capcom.

However, room being left open for speculation does not mean it's okay to be irresponsible journalists and create click bait headlines such as this as if he factually made any kind of hint that one could reasonably deduce based on the conversation. Situations like this are exactly the reason why the GamerGate movement happened in the first place. Irresponsible and deceptive practices in video game journalism and the industry. Gamespot has been guilty of such things in the past.

Such as the article they wrote about Overwatch, within a day of its unveiling to an unsuspecting community, as to whether or not it lived up to the hype. How in the world can a game that no one knew about and just announced have anything yet to prove based on day one excitement? Likewise, how can a question that is essentially asking "...why Sony and not Microsoft? Didn't Microsoft contact you?" turn into "When can we expect the Xbox One version?" based on a highly ambiguous answer?

I contacted the author of the article through private message on Twitter. He was not happy about it and has already taken to tweeting Gamespot to stop misrepresenting for clicks.

Things are heating up. He's going after the N4G listing of the article as fake. You can't even comment on it right now.

Holly connolly that's becoming a news story in itself!

Wonder who will make the article.  ::)
