Do we have any idea what its European sales were? Because that seems kind of low for a major, multi-million selling franchise in its first two weeks.

Yeah. I don't expect the numbers to be high considering X1 hardly sells in Europe overall by comparison to PS4. I'm just kinda floored that it may really be Forza Motorflop 6.

Including digital overall maybe 400k, if we're being generous?

$50 cut not happening?
It would be super weird for MS not to cut the price and would make it seem like they are a little overconfindent in the power of their "strongest lineup in industry history"

Kerotan

Yeah considering it flopped in the UK and that's by far it's biggest European market,  and we now know it flopped hard in Japan and America then we can assume it didn't do good anywhere.

Now turn 10 just need to release a demo or free trial so they can claim 10m unique forza players on X1. Success!!

An exclusive door buster sale where the console itself is still $350 in value says that you might be right.

3 forza games since launch.  Just let that sink in.  I mean 1 driveclub has been enough for me,  I can't only imagine the burnout the hardcore forza fans are feeling. And it's backed up with crud sales.

They really need to stop going bi-annual with their games. Forza Motorsport 5 should have been a Holiday 2014 title instead of the rushed launch title it was. Forza Motorsport 6 not releasing until 2017. Forza Horizon should also go on a bare minimum 3-year development cycle.

Yeah, I think (and I'm not sure about this since I don't really play racing games at all) that even for most people that buy racing games they are not at the top of their priority list, so they neither feel the need to rush out and buy these games day one nor to get a new entry in the same series every two years. I imagine it's kinda like it's for me and Fifa, I don't religiously play Fifa, I just occasionally like to play a couple rounds, mostly with other people, for that reason I absolutely don't feel the need to get a new Fifa every year since the one I own still does that job more than well enough, so I might upgrade once every couple years for cheap but not every 2 years for $60.
