I want this game to come out and then totally suck. Why? Because I want to watch the world burn. I'm the kind of sucker who hears people scream they want something because they assume it's going to be just so fudgy awesome and laugh at them when it wasn't that great.

I personally felt that the first one wasn't great begin with.  It started the trend of these terrible cutscenes in the first person.

Yeah I played the first one and it was OK - liked the theme but everything else wise it was OK.

The first one is like almost 20 years old, guys. It was a breakthrough at the time. Now, HL2 was and still is amazing.

And hl2 episode 2 is a major reason for the hype for hl3

Metal Gear was a breakthrough for its time.  Half Life wasn't.
