QuoteThat's a tough question. People have mobile phones and it's so easy to play games on smartphones. And many games on smartphones are free, or free to start," Yoshida said when asked about the possibility of Vita 2 during a Q&A at EGX 2015.

"I myself am a huge fan of PlayStation Vita and we worked really hard on designing every aspect," he continued. "Touch-based games are fun - there are many games with really good design. But having sticks and buttons make things totally different.

"So I hope, like many of you, that this culture of playing portable games continues but the climate is not healthy for now because of the huge dominance of mobile gaming."

its expected. but this is for the best IMO. this means that all of Sony's studios can now focus on PS4 and the coming home consoles from sony.

i think studio Japan will benefit the most from this. imagine if freedom wars, soul sacrific and gravity rush all released on PS4 first. Gravity Rush 2 is releasing on PS4 now, i think freedom wars 2 and soul sacrifice 2 will follow.

Also Sony Bend and Guerrilla Cambridge are working on PS4 now.

Vita was such a dang good device, but such a horribly bad fit for modern lifestyles.

I think I've played my vita for a total of no more than 30 hours in the two years I've had it. I just completely forget about it, not the best of purchases for me really. Uncharted GA was great though ;D

This isn't surprising at all, it would undoubtedly be another epic fail.

Similar here.
Although when I got FFX, it shot up quite a bit.

Actually it was probably 20 hours before, and FFX probably got me to put in another 20 hours by itself, at least.

I have several hundred hours with mine. Don't regret my purchase. And I understand why Sony isn't going to another. Things have change so much over the past 10 years it just isn't worth having dedicated handhelds anymore. Sony Should have pushed to be the steam of mobile, but it's too late for that now.

I'd like to see Sony open up development for it again.  Do a PS Mobile kind of thing, but better.

Dr. Pezus

I probably have something like 70-90 hours with mine. Could be better, but decent
