Some 2 million people from around the world are taking part in this year's hajj pilgrimage, which started Tuesday. Muslims around the world are currently marking Eid al-Adha, one of Islam's two most important holidays.

It baffles me how this is even possible. People act like a hivemind when they're so many in the same place, nobody cares about each other.

I too am baffled.  

This number has been rising for a while too, first number looks like it was 150.  

How close to 1600 people can get trampled, its just insane.
