So yeah, I was wrong. This conference was definitely not better than last years, I mean ending it on a new commercial? Who gives a crud?

Highlights were the Bloodborne expansion, Gravity Rush 1&2 PS4 (never played that game but looks interesting enough) and Ni-Oh imo

Letdowns: Still no Level 5 JRPG (I'm beginning to suspect that this has been cancelled), no SCE Japan JRPG, no SFV and Persona 5 (those can be forgiven though I guess since we'll still get those during TGS)

Edit: Just remembered that the new Vanillaware game and Project Setsuna also looked pretty cool, I think that bumps the conference to a 6.5 for me.

it was by no means a bad show. it just didnt have any megatons. the price drop is interesting though. will we see one in the west? if so, when?

PS Vita got a price drop in japan only, after maybe 5 or 6 months it got one in the west.

Sounds like Sony is going for the console kill in Japan.  No Gravity Rush for Vita is a bit sad, but hopefully people will get off their asses and buy it.  Everyone I know who wants to play it won't cause they have no Vita  and have no interest to buy one. Is Ni-Oh that PS3 launch game that never got made?

I don't blame Level-5 for not announcing their PS4 game yet. Look at the landscape right now. Persona 5, Star Ocean 5, Dragon Quest games, Nier 2, World of Final Fantasy, KH3, FF15, the FF7 remake, and now Gravity Rush 2 (action rpg). If I were them I'd let this group thin out a bit before I move in.

Yep. It was announced 11 years ago and was supposed to release in 2006. Koei and Tecmo merged which apparently affected development down the line. They put development on indefinite hold. Now they think they know how they want the game to be. So, we're getting it in 2016. Only 10 years late.

Just woke up and looked at the announcements on Gematsu. I'll watch the conference later today, but here are my initial thoughts:

The good:

• Japanese developers are starting to ditch the PS3
• Gravity Rush Remastered and Gravity Rush 2
• Dangonronpa 3
• More Vanillaware goodness
• Price drop (indicative of a worldwide price cut?)

The bad:

• I was hoping Kingdom Hearts 2.8 would be more than just DDD remastered
• Sony's 1st party ditching the Vita altogether
• Couldn't you have just called your VR headset PS Morpheus? It would've sounded way cooler
• Falcom being MIA. Where the fudge is Ys?!

Didn't the Bloodborne deal just finish? If so then with the price drop the PS4 is about the same value as it was all summer.
