For me yeah because I generally really enjoy games that are scored average and up so If it's above 80 I'm almost guaranteed to really like it

Yeah that's why I was questioning, I'd never consider 80 as very high. Depends what you perceive as "very high" though, for me that means almost maximum (so I guess 90+ on meta) while for some people it could mean way above average.
