Or open each citizen a health savings account and deposite a million in each account. They spent 380 million on a dang websit . My idea would have cost the same amount.
That is some dang good maths ;)

Actually he's right. I thought about it, it would be 380 million if you gave everyone a dollar. If everyone got a million it would be so crazy number.

380,000,000,000,000.

fudge you facebook! I never stopped to think about it. But once ya do...

Ish, not really.
Pretty sure the US pop is closer to 315m - 320m though.

All money is debt.
Interesting thing, from what I understand the vast majority of the debt that the US has isn't to other countries.

debt is credit

the world at large owes large sums to creditors

All money is debt.
For example, if you were my employee, I owe you a debt, so I pay you in moneys.  That money is my debt to you.

When you buy something you transfer that debt that I owe you to someone else.
All legal tenders are just transferable debt.

smh I understand what you are saying and how you come to that conclusion, but debt / credit and actual money are 2 different things...
debt/credit != legal tender

If i have a credit line of 25k that does not mean I have 25k legal monies
If I then use that 25k credit line the creditor then owns that 25k debt + interest! (but that is not legal tender)

As it stands today more credit and debt has been spent/owed than is in actual LEGAL TENDER circulation

just because US debt is 18.1 trillion dollars it does not mean that such an amount was ever actually spent or that there is that much money in circulation there is not at all even close to that amount in real physical money. Paper / coin money is the only legal currency in the US...

Debt is not actual monies
