Yeah, You just set it on top of the base and it charges. I have a thick rubber case on mine and it still works.

No! it's magic!  ::)

Yeah, it comes with it's own wall charger, just like the one the came with the phone. You just plug that into  the wall then set it on the pad.

Ah that can be a big benefit, but only if you have more than one phone that supports this lulz

Does it really matter? There is a clear problem in the USA that doesn't exist elsewhere in the Western world.

All this tells us is that USA is somewhere in the middle of 2nd-3rd world countries when it comes to gun murders while the rest of the Western world has much less of them.

well chicago with extreme gun laws have one of the top spots on gun violence... also suicide accounts for nearly 40% of gun related deaths in the US

Also the UK has 8* the violent crime rate as the US per capita

1) Chicago: Well the guns are out there everywhere. Not sure how the laws are there but given the laws elsewhere in the US they could just take guns from there.
2) Well that ratio is probably higher or at least as high in other Western countries. Your point with that is what?
3) How do you define violent crime? Being shot is definitely more serious in most cases than getting punched for example. The pic I posted shows the gun mortality, plain and simple, being way higher than elsewhere. Would be interesting to see all-cause mortality for violence (guns, knives, fists etc.)
What effect do you think more lax gun laws in the UK would have then, given the high (alleged) crime rate?

Personally I am very happy that I don't have to worry about getting shot on the street, at the movies, at school, at work.

The reality of this information, is that America is massive.  Many parts are amazing, and some parts are beyond awful.
The equivalency would be saying Europe has a problem because random other country is a bit worse than other areas.  I'm not going to Iceland because this random other country has issues.
Overall on average, the US is much worse than Europe in some of these issues, but the reality is that America is no where near as bad as things are often proclaimed.

The vast majority of Americans don't go through life worrying about getting shot.
Lot of low income areas, and some areas like that, that have a disproportionate amount of crime, but the vast majority of people do not live in those areas.
There are likely areas in the US that are safer than the vast majority of Europe, just like there are likely areas that are only slightly safer than some parts of Africa.
The US is gigantic.  My moderately small sized state is still much bigger than Iceland, close to double.  There's a ton of variance with people, where they come from, their attitudes, etc.
