Was just looking at the amiibo name and realised the word mii is in there.  Which is a spin off from the Wii.  

Is this intentional or a coincidence?  

Have they ever given a proper meaning behind the name?

A mii is an avatar that you create for a profile on Wii, Wii U and 3DS systems. It acts as your profile for all activities you choose to participate in. It also acts as your profile pic on Miiverse(another use of the name).

I'd imagine amiibos also spawn from this.

Kerbel will work great with the wii u touchpad. 3DS is too weak.

Execution wise it'll be a great idea - sales wise no.

Doesnt matter for me personally - if I get Kerbal - It'll be on Steam - I got other games I want for my WiiU and 3DS :P
