Well I am proud of my country not wasting tons of money on a military and I am proud of the Icelandic water!

Yeah you would have. IF we weren't there I'd almost grantee someone would have invade as it's actually an important strategic location to hold. If there a WW3 you'd bet we'd be back. And it show just how dumb are president is sometimes. He should have never closed that base. It's more important that is sounds.

Well Icelanders wanted you gone too lol so it was a good decision. Yeah maybe you will be back if a war breaks out but you shouldn't have to be here forever. I'm not sure who could've invaded after WW2 though. Unless you call what the US did an invasion too heh.

Maybe some did but the base was good for your economy, I highly doubt near 1000 Icelandic wanted to loose their jobs not to mention the millions pumped into your economy for people station there and whatever agreement the two governments had going.

Not wasting tons of money on military didn't stop all three of your major banks from defaulting, your economy virtually collapsing, and requiring an international bailout package. All between 2008 to 2011. Your water, on the other hand, is awesome from what I hear.

The water is great, but if I was an Icelandic I'd be more proud my county doesn't run off of fossil fuel and nuclear power. 100 percent clean energy. Hell their buses run of hydrogen.
