Dragon Quest New Title Presentation announced for July 28, Heroes II subtitle revealed - Gematsu

Square Enix will host a Dragon Quest New Title Presentation next Tuesday, July 28, the latest issue of Jump magazine confirms. It will be live streamed.
The magazine also confirms the official subtitle for Dragon Quest Heroes II to be Twin Kings and the Prophecy's End. It will have a new story, but Homiron will return. A release date is still unannounced.
Here's comment from Dragon Quest series creator Yuji Horii:
Quote"Dragon Quest Heroes II: Twin Kings and the Prophecy's End has a different world view from the previous game, and through that a new story will begin. Please look forward to a dramatic story. The 'giant monsters and crowds of monsters-battle action' that was so popular in the previous game is powered up, of course. There are new ways to play and additions planned, so please look forward to more news."
Jump teases it will have news on "that big title, finally" in its August 3 issue—it's final Dragon Quest feature issue—which should leak on July 30. It's likely it will be whatever new title is announced at the Dragon Quest press conference.
Thanks, Hachima Kikou.

Please be excited!

If it was my choice I'd make it ps4 exclusive holiday 2016 WW release and then announce a vita spin off early 2017 to release In the summer.

But I've a feeling it will be on ps3 or vita or both from day 1.

Thing is; there's no justification to release Dragon Quest XI on the 3DS at this point.  Mobile or PS4/PS3.  Creator says it's going to be console only therefore the later.  If they make a PS3 port than a Wii U port may be possible.  But with Nintendo most likely discontinuing it sooner than later, that would be stupid.

The sense of entitlement from Samus on Chertz is really entertaining, but also frustrating as he singlehandedly ruined the thread.

Both Nintendo consoles are essentially zombies.  Nintendo isn't supporting the Wii U anymore and I doubt Square Enix will in their stead. Nintendo's next console is your best bet,  but no one knows what it will be and I doubt Dragon Quest 11 will be ready for it. Nintendo is just stuck with an awkward release schedule.   The NX will most likely miss Dragon Quest 11's release.  It will also cost more money than it's worth to port it to the Wii U with out a ps3 version being made. Like a ps3 version will be a good base to make a cheap port to Wii U vs porting from ps4.  So it depends if a ps3 version is in the cards. Even then, the  Wii U version will have to compete against the ps3/ps4 version. It'd be possible they'd lose money on that port. Unless it's Wii U only,  which I reasoned is unlikely.
