So PS4 is flat YoY.

If I have the right numbers the yearly numbers are:

PS4 2013: 2003k
XBO 2013: 1817k

2013 GAP: 186k

PS4 2014: 4694k
XBO 2014: 4374k

2014 GAP: 320k

PS4 2015: 1561k
XBO 2015: 1284k

2015 GAP: 277k

Overall GAP: 783k

Its great to see some positivity in the industry

It's usually all doom and gloom.

MS sticking in there with XBO, seems like their announcements at E3 made an impact.

Both Nintendo systems not doing very well at all.

I don't think MS's E3 announcements played a huge role, but rather the huge trade-in deals. It was because of them that the XBO eked out a win in April NPD.

The PS4 should easily be up YOY for July and August NPD. It has the standard Arkham Knight bundle as well as having a much better summer lineup. The XBO doesn't have much in July, so it'll likely continue to rely on trade-in deals.

360 was up yoy without a price cut, same with Wii.

Different situations. The 360 and Wii were cheaper than the competition(PS3). Ps4 is currently the most expensive console while maintaining its price, yet maintained sales.

meaningless drivel. EVERY CONSOLE EVER has been up YOY from year 1 to 2.

well maybe not something like the dreamcast,.. i dunno. everything vgc has charted has been up YOY from 1 to 2 except vita (yes even wiiU, and maybe not even vita as i haven't updated my numbers since the massive adjustment a week ago). ...almost nothing peaks year 1 and if it does then you'd know it is in big trouble.
