The Jurassic World dream is dead. It should just barely pass Avengers worldwide

Quote from: Legend on Jun 28, 2015, 05:06 PMThird weekend is slightly worse than Avengers's third weekend domestically. Guess next week is when we'll see if JW has shorter legs or not.

I bet it'll end at 650 mil in America and 850 foreign. 1.5 billion total. What's your guess?

Domestic: $590,638,000   40.3%
+ Foreign: $875,200,000   59.7%

= Worldwide: $1,465,838,000

Haha I suck at game sales predictions, but I'm not that bad with movies.

Are you ready to concede our $1.8 billion bet? The stakes were $1,000 if I'm remembering correctly.

Yes, but what's the punchline for it?  I don't see how having "Damaged" tattooed to his forehead would make him laugh.  He'd need a mirror for that.

About Ant-Man on boxofficemojo:

"While it's unlikely that that base will shun the new film they might be quick to turn on it if they feel it's not up to par with their imagined Wright film.
Given Ant-Man's decidedly mixed reviews it may be in danger of those fans doing just that. The film has a 74% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, a healthy (but likely fanboy) 8.0 rating on IMDb from 3,168 users and a Metascore of 66/100.
Middling to negative reviews are an external nuisance but Ant-Man also has to deal with some internal, logistical reluctance as well."

Does nobody else find this funny/weird? Lol

Nah those are poor scores.

Not really. Movies score much lower than games on average because their review system isn't as broken.
66 on Meta is good, almost very good. 8 on IMDB is great. 74% on RT is good.
That's nowhere close to "middling to negative reviews". Also, it's funny that he claimed the IMDB score "likely fanboy" lol
