"Universal is also reporting that Jurassic World will pass $550M in domestic grosses this weekend. Adding another milestone to its marble bag of records that's the fastest—in 24 days—any film has reached the $550M mark. World added $42M in overseas coin, raising its international total to $826.9M. Combined with domestic that total makes Jurassic World the fifth highest grossing film worldwide of all time with $1.385B in global grosses, just passing Avengers: Age of Ultron at $1.37B."

Only $415m to go!

JW is estimated 31k for the weekend. Meanwhile The Avengers did 37k for its 4th weekend.
Quote from: Legend on Jun 28, 2015, 05:06 PMI bet it'll end at 650 mil in America and 850 foreign. 1.5 billion total. What's your guess?
Seems $650 million will be practically spot on for my prediction domestically.

Foreign the film is at $826 million. It's going to pass my 850 prediction and probably stop around 900-950. I'm feeling pretty confident for the bet!

Yeah it's slowing down faster than The Avengers but then again it's like $40m ahead in the US. I can see $650m too.
I'm hoping for $1B overseas now. $1.15 is probably too much

I could see it passing $1 billion. All it takes is a couple big markets to love it and then it has crazy legs. Kinda like Frozen which did $250 million in just Japan.

But does it have any markets left to launch in?

Looks great.

Also I saw terminator today. Really liked it. If all you're looking for is a summer action flick, it delivers.

I was expecting better just since minions seem to be the biggest craze right now.

Could be the biggest opening for an animated movie ever in the US

Probably not going to pass Shrek the third.
