AMD stock would probably be converted to Microsoft stock, and you'd get a small amount of cash to go along with it. However this is mediocre and will make you lose money or just break even.
The thing is I really don't believe this rumor to be true. But if it was... But there are way to many rumors about a buy out for none of them to be true. So i think there's a good change they are going to get bought. The only question is buy who. And really the stock only needs to just up to 4 dollars to double your money at the point you could just cash out if the buy out rumors end up being false. If MS did buy them tho, I could turn 2000 in to 37,000. Which would be awesome.

Oddly enough I expected MS stock to be a lot more that the 40 it's currently sitting at. Should have bought sony when it was 10 dollars a share, Now it's 30.

i disagree about the stock conversion.   MS has a crud ton of cash on hand, and doesnt need to dilute its shares.

Hmmm, didn't Nadella say they're going to focus on software?  I mean, why would Microsoft aquire AMD?  Unless they're seriously not happy with Intel.  Which would be suicide to try to compete with Intel.  But then again, I'm not a rich guy running a huge mega company like Microsoft, who can have fun wasting billions.
