Not in America, but yeah that could certainly be the next big ticket item in places where you're born into a class.

Well, classes aren't set in stone.
Even though lots of actor portrayals show it to be.
Many super rich people that started out in the lower class.

Quote from: Legend on Jun 27, 2015, 04:06 AMNow I wonder what the next inequality will be. We've had gender, race, and now sexual preference all taken care of legally. What's next? Only thing I can think of is rights for AIs but that'd be many years from now.
Multiple marriage rights, single person rights, transgender rights, trans-racial rights?
rights for people suffering from apotemnophilia which is a medical disorder where one desires to amputate a limb

closer down the line I'd imagine laws enacted to enforce acceptance of SS marriages and protection against discrimination of it as well.

class rights will never happen even in a full on socialist society there would still be bureaucrats and elites with a majority of the wealth

Quote from: kitler53 on Jun 26, 2015, 09:07 PMto be fair,.. being worried and scared of republicans is the only sane response.

The left likes to portray those on the right as hateful and prejudiced (though its not true)
the right likes to portray those on the left as trying to take away our rights (which hopefully isn't true)

I'm very skeptical of government and believe it is healthy to question their actions regardless of which puppets are running the show. If we don't question and hold government officials accountable who will?

Felt like it didn't go into depth on a lot of things I feel strong about, but here are my results anyway.

Well it obviously isn't true if it took some lefties to accept same naughtiness marriages, years after many other Western countries had done it.

You know what I've learned over the past few days, the supporters are just as bad as the people they are fighting against.

Gay marriage is legal. And that's a great thing for gay people. But, nobody has to accept it, nobody has to believe it's a normal thing just because you do. As long as they keep to them self's and live their lives by their believes then it doesn't hurt anyone. Tell me how you fight intolerance by being intolerant again?

That's what always blows my mind about people who claim the left wing is trying to take rights away. It was the right wing in America that blocked same-naughtiness marriage for so dang long that it made America look bad. How can you call yourself the leader of the free world when you bitterly allow same-naughtiness marriage long after half of Europe did? From what I've seen, it is the right wing that is most likely to restrict the freedoms of its citizens. That is not to say the left wing is entirely innocent, but the right wing does enough on its own to make itself look bad. When you have people like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh with a news organization like Fox acting as the mouthpiece for batshit crazy Republican bumb politicians, the rebutting propaganda practically writes itself.

The problem is the opponents are not quitting even after the Supreme Court ruling. There are people organizing groups to fight this and spread misinformation, fear mongering, and focused hatred at the supporters. It's not that most supporters are going after people who simply say they don't agree with it but don't care that it's legal. They're going after the ones who are trying to turn this around and re-ignite the opposition to it and get the law reversed.

Also, tolerance of intolerance is ignorance. When the intolerant seek to legislate their beliefs at the expense of someone else, tolerating them is a fool's game.

as a child of two extreemly politically active tea party identifying parents i'll just say my parents are racist, bigots against homosexuals and any non christain religion, classist, child abusing assholes that can (and hopefully will) rot in hell.

and the time i had to spend preparing for republican primaries and fundraisers i'll say my parents fit right in with those people.

i've certainly met a lot of good people that were merely republican voters but the leadership i met was not. i suppose in general it is the crazy extemists that are motivated enough to "do something about it" so i suppose there are probably lots of crazies in the democratic primaries too.
