My final thoughts: It wasn't a bad conference, but like last E3, it lacked that extra oomph Microsoft needed to make their conference a very good one. Beginning was quite shooter-centric and not enough gameplay was shown. Whenever gameplay was shown, it was underwhelming like in ROTR or Gears 4 (until the end, that is). Minecraft in HoloLens was really cool, but again, is it practical? When you get past the novelty factor, is it still worth it? The demonstration didn't really answer those questions.
